Monterey Bay Aquarium
Monterey Bay Aquarium undertook a significant remodel of its restaurant, cafe, and kitchen to create a more open plan cuisine experience and to take more advantage of the incredible ocean views for its diners. The team crafted various design scenarios for user engagement of the space, program development, through-put, and way-finding. As project manager through to the completion of the permitting phase, Ursula was accountable for client relationships, budget and managing EHDD staff.

The AOB undertook a significant remodel of existing classrooms to create a new River Otter exhibit. Ursula was responsible for visualizing the re-imagined space and managing the design process.

South African Penguin Exhibit Toledo Aquarium

Second phase of the Toledo Aquarium remodel was to realize a new exhibit for the South African penguins. This is an outdoor exhibit featuring a 20,000 gallon pool with an underwater viewing area.
Ursula managed the design process and the nationwide engineering team.
