M-Power-Her Malawi

DIRECTOR
M-Power-Her Malawi
2016 - 2017

While managing architectural projects as a United Nations volunteer Ursula also founded M-Power-Her Malawi, a not-for-profit event that raised funds for personal solar technology for 48 Malawian school girls in 5 different High schools.

The initiative provided students with a 7-watt solar panel and a magnetic solar light fixture. The awards were selected to: provide light for evening study, security for their early morning walk to school, and exposure to the science of solar technology.

Awards were presented to the two top performing students in each academic year throughout the five schools.
