The new addition at the Aquarium is a multi-plex auditorium with temporary exhibit halls. The building skin was designed to evoke the sense of water. Ursula manifested the vision for a biomorphic form that appears to be emerging from the ocean and intertwining with the carcass of the original building. The form is clad in a custom glass ventilated rainscreen assembly with every panel unique in size and angle so they each reflect the light differently. The design was developed using B.I.M. and Catenary software modeling.
